Yukari Cousineau

Yukari Cousineau plays violin and viola with equal ease. She studied from a young age with her father Jean Cousineau and continued her studies with Martin Foster at UQAM where she obtained the highest mark ever given for a final exam. She studied with Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Felix Ayo and Martin Beaver. Yukari was assistant-concertmistress of the Orchestre Métropolitain from 1999 to 2003, when she changed to associate principal viola. She is also principal viola of the McGill Chamber Orchestra and l’Ensemble Appassionta. She also teaches at l’UQAM.
