Yegor Dyachkov, cellist, was titled Canadian “Artist of the Year 2000” by the CBC, tours internationally. His performances are broadcast and televised in Canada and abroad. His schedule includes invitations from the Évian, Kronberg, Tanglewood and Vancouver festivals as well as from the Geneva Chamber, Montréal Symphony, Toronto Symphony orchestras and Royal Flemish Phiharmonic. He has premiered works written for him by Jacques Hétu, Michael Oesterle, André Prévost and Ana Sokolivic. His recordings are available on the Chandos, Brioso, Pelléas and Analekta labels. His principal mentors were Aleksandr Fedorchenko in Moscow, Yuli Turovsky in Montréal and Boris Pergamenschikow in Cologne. He teaches at McGill University.
